This native of Marseille grew up in Cannes and it was at the age of 13 that he discovered his passion for cooking and so he began to work as a diver in a restaurant on the Riviera. Without a CAP or special training, it was from the bottom that he wanted to climb and reach new heights. Paris, Saint-Tropez, Geneva, Valais, Milan, London… His stopovers allowed him to train and specialize before putting down his “big” luggage and returning to his hometown at the end of 2012. In his gourmet salon, at the corner of rue Sainte and rue Breteuil, the self-taught pastry chef dares to revisit the sweet classics and offers pastries in his image, completely atypical and full of originality. Outspoken bearded, passionate about bikes and three times a father, Laurent Favre-Mot demonstrates innovation while respecting the products. He takes quality first, follows the rhythm of the seasons and only works his “ganaches” with organic chocolate. His signature? The skull! His rock’n’roll attitude is popular and has made him an actor of Marseille Capital of Culture. Proud to be from Marseille, our ambitious pastry chef is exporting and participating in numerous fairs and festivals. Also brand ambassador, consultant, and speaker in several cooking schools, Laurent Favre-Mot has a sense of sharing and transmission.
International Director of Design at La Durée as a consultant, Laurent has just opened the restaurant “Rustic is the new chic” in Dinan, Brittany and is already being talked about in the media.
